Hello, Disturbed sleep pattern is mainly caused by raised stress levels in body, improper digestion and excessive exposure to electronic screens which causes the decreased sleep hormone production called dopamine. Ayurvedic herbs should be taken regularly for 5-6 months and then reviewed- 1.Pipplimula churna- 1.5gm before going to bed with luke warm water. 2.Swamamakhshik Bhasma- 1 gm with jaggery (gur) before going to bed followed by luke warm water. 3.Vatakulantaka ras- 125mg with honey twice a day after meals. 4.Nidrodaya rasa- 125mg with honey twice a day after meals. Head massage with Brahmi oil before bedtime helps in relaxing mind. Panchkarma therapies like Shirobasti with ashwagandha kwath, Shirodhara with brahmi oil and nasya with anu tail or shadbindu oil should be administered. Abhyanaga with sesame oil or narayana or bala oils, relaxes the body and removes tensions, and induce sound sleep. Pada Abhyangam or Foot Massage with Ksheerabala oil provides relaxation to the body and mind helps good sleep.
